"The
One-Stop Internet Spot for Parents of Twins and Multiples" -- I started
this magazine because I can never find the kind of information I am looking
for as a parent of twins. Currently, twins information is usually on sites
loaded with ads, or it's on a site that just wants you to subscribe to
the print edition. Welcome to the 21st Century, twin parents. I created
BeTwinned for you (and me).

"News,
Views and Information for So Cal's premiere Village of the Foothills"
-- This is a citizen journalism website for Sierra Madre, CA, population
11,800. I started the site just as there was a big shake-up in the City
Council, but I also like to report on all the fun stuff that goes on in
Our Town.

In summer
2006, I reported under Judy Muller with a fellowship called News
21, which is funded by the Carnegie Corporation and the Knight Foundation.
At USC, we reported post-9/11 immigration stories. For NewsInitiative.org,
the main website for the nationwide initiative, I worked on the following
stories: Chuck
Bitar's Story; Human
Smuggling ... And Party Shoes; and Los
Angeles Civil Rights Groups Sue the Government Over Citizenship Delays.

Journalism Review
I worked for Robert Niles at OJR for two years while I
was in USC Annenberg's graduate
journalism program. The first year I edited bi-weekly features, and the
second year I was the managing editor for the readers' blog. I also blogged,
did event
covers and wrote a feature
article for OJR. |
